Buying a snowboard from a local vendor will never aid you in getting through with the specifications, but a snowboard manufacturing company will. In early days, people used to snowboard on flat woods and as the choice of the sport improved, the changes in the boards were also visible. Firstly slight changes in the shape are made and the boards are changed from flat to curve shaped. Before getting through with the shape of cheap snowboards, let’s discuss about the parts of the board. Traditional boards had three parts; the nose, the tazz, and the camber. Nowadays, snowboards also consist of a fourth additional part called as the flat or the reverse. Both are two separate parts and are added according to the design of the snowboard.
The different shapes of the board that you will find in an online snowboard shop are:
1. Traditional Camber: It is named because of the traditional shape of the camber. The nose and the tazz are bent at specific angles providing an extension to the camber.
2. Flat Rocker: It consists of the fourth part i.e. Reverse. Nose and tazz are the extensions on either side while the camber ...
... part is completely flat and hence is named as such.
3. Hybrid Camber: It consist of the additional part flat with camber covering the major area of the board. It is considered as one of the best boards that you can find in a snowboard shop. It goes best for mountain shredding and jibbing.
Apart from the price, the best part of getting cheap snowboards from the internet is that you can give your own custom look to have something original. You can simply choose a wide array of colors and patterns by simply sitting in front of your computer. You can implant your creative designs to have a fully customized board for snowboarding.
Before you order a customized snowboard, it is advised to go through the materials that are used in the process of manufacturing. The materials used are:
• Fiberglass: There are two type of fiberglass which is used for manufacturing the board. One of them is biaxial fiberglass and the other one is called as triaxial fiberglass. In Biaxial fiberglass, the glass fibers are mutually perpendicular to each other while at triaxial these are woven at 45 degrees. Triaxial fiberglass is preferred for flexible and tough activities like mountain riding while biaxial is used in making boards for the beginners.
• Shape of the core: The wood cores are made in shape of books which enhances the flex across the board.
• Use of carbon rods: Carbon rods are used in cheap snowboards to provide torsion stiffness. This in turn enhances the lifespan of the board.
• Treatment of the edges: Edges of custom snowboards are treated with heat to harden. The complete outer edge of the board is covered with a single channel of steel. A single channel is used to ensure a single joint for the complete board.
Die cut bases, full wood chores and Hardwood Rails are also used in the manufacture of certain snowboards.
