1. Waterproofing- Waterproofing is the one of the most serious issues regarding finished basement. Several steps are there that you can take to correct a leaky basement. But which is a best one for your problem may need consulting a professional.

If there is some dampness still left sheetrock will soak. You could go for sheetrock and coat it with some kind of sealer.
