Mindfulness Meditation – The Buddhist Way To Meditate

Attainment of Nirvana is the ultimate aim of Buddhist and it is the state under which an individual is liberated from all types of bondings. He need not have to get caught in the cycle of birth and death again once the state is attained. It is believed that meditation is one among the set of technique to achieve the state of Nirvana. This is because, it can cultivate the mind. It is also taught in this culture that meditation is the way to achieve mindfulness øvelser and here the term øvelser is a Norwegian term, which means exercises.
Mindfulness meditation is a method of consciousness, where the individual will be fully aware of the states of his mind. He will be aware of each reaction and every thought passing through his mind. He will have self-knowledge as compared to an ordinary individual.
Buddha’s teachings focus on the concept of ‘four noble truths’. The first truth is that there is dissatisfaction or suffering in our world and the second truth is that all of them are because of our ignorance and desires. The third is that sufferings are ultimately because of the state of our mind and finally we ...
... suffer just because of the fact that we do not have the true understanding about ourselves. So, the end result is that if we can understand ourselves and the working of our mind, we can easily get out of our sufferings. These sufferings are just because of the humans getting caught in the vicious circle of birth and death and so attaining Nirvana is the only relief they have. Finally, they can follow the eight fold path for the attainment of the same, which is constituted by 8 correct things to be done namely, concentration, mindfulness, effort, understanding, livelihood, action, speech and thought.
Of these eight things, the first three can be achieved via mindfulness meditation. The great thing about Buddhism is that it is the only religion that provides the practical means for achievement of everything that is promised. Buddha has suggested that people should concentrate on something to achieve the state of silence. One can consciously observe the breath going in and out of his body. This will provide the opportunity for the individual to keenly understand the working of his mind. This will be helpful in achievement of mindfulness øvelser.
There are institutions providing training on these skills and people can learn them from experts.
Exercises for mindfulness meditation will help you to focus more on the task you perform. Also increases the emotional and social intelligence and at the same time reduces the stress. To know more about mindfulness øvelser visit our website.
