Why Costume Jewellery Can Enhance Your Boyfriends Lingerie Experience!
When I was first thinking about writing this article I looked at a number of different angles that I could take but then I was reading a book about the 1940's and 50's part scene and how they use inexpensive costume jewellery to enhance what they wore on their night outs.
My thoughts went to, "Why couldn't you do the same with lingerie?"
The simple answer to that question is, "Of course you can!"
For most people dressing up in sexy and sensual lingerie is a great way to start an evening in, but lingerie on its own can be more tacky than sexy. The key way to make the boyfriends lingerie experience upper class is to incorporate stylish pieces of costume jewellery.
Lets face it, who can afford a 10 carat diamond or ruby, well there are probably a few who can out there, but for most of us, that isn't going to happen so the next alternative is costume jewellery.
Imagine this for a moment, walking out in front of your boyfriend in a sexy red ruffle bra set, wearing full length red satin gloves with a massive gold ring with a five centimetre rock slipped on top of those satin gloves. Is that not ...
... a scene from an upper class movie, absolutely!
For years Hollywood has been fooling us with those outrageous size ring and jewellery pieces in the movies, why not steal some of their great ideas to spice up your boyfriends lingerie experience.
Costume jewellery is relatively cheap and I have seen quality items on websites like ebay for only a few dollars. Many online lingerie stores now offer lingerie kits that include items like costume jewellery with specific pieces of lingerie to help you present the right experience for your boyfriend.
Remember one key thing, lingerie is supposed to be fun and sexy, so why not explore your beauty by enhancing it with items of costume jewellery.
When choosing the jewellery there are a few things to remember:
1. Don't buy too much. Just like with any fashion accessory, less is more
2. Make sure that you buy a piece that accentuates the lingerie and doesn't detract from it
3. Colour match all pieces, for example if you are going to be wearing red satin gloves then it is best to buy a piece of costume jewellery that is gold and has a clear glass rock on it.
4. Avoid broaches on lingerie. Choose items for your fingers or earrings only, like rings, necklaces, ankle bracelets and so forth
The general rule of thumb with lingerie is that two or three pieces of costume jewellery are fine, any more and you can take the focus away from the lingerie which in the end is not what you want to achieve.
