Sunrooms - also known as conservatories, patios, enclosed porches, solariums, and even Florida rooms - are gaining popularity in many parts of the United States. Previously staples of houses in more sunny areas of the United Kingdom, like Morly, Yorkshire and Leeds, the sheer beauty and the fantastic benefits provided by these solariums made Americans embrace them as viable - and even essential - extensions of the household. Southern states - Florida included, hence one of the more popular names for conservatories: Florida rooms - lead the way when it comes to the most number of households that have attached such improvements to the structures of their exteriors.

These conservatories, however, are not easy to build. UPVC components, glass panels, and other optional materials (like bricks, wood, and the likes) are required, and they need to be treated and molded into parts that can be assembled into a sunroom via sound carpentry skills. Not every homeowner has the proper knowledge to prepare these materials, and even if they do, not everyone has the sufficient level of carpentry skills to build the aforementioned solariums.

These ...
... issues have prevented even the most avid enthusiasts from building conservatories attached to their homes.

Thankfully, self assembly conservatories are now available in the market.

Self assembly conservatories are Do It Yourself (DIY) kits that contain solarium parts that are ready to be assembled. These parts have already been manufactured in a way that each of them are easily attachable to one another. No carpentry skills are required, as the amount of carpentry that remains to be done is minimal.

Self assembly conservatories usually contain the following pieces:

- UPVC side sections that will form the foundations of the sunroom. UPVC is the preferred materials for such parts because they are more durable than wood.
- A door. Common variations are French doors and patio doors. The door panel already comes with a lock and keys.
- Corner posts. They are usually coated with uPVC designs.
- Connecting strips.
- Flexible corner trims so that the conservatory will be allowed small variations in the prescribed design and dimensions.
- UPVC roof panels, complete with roof glazing and decorative cresting.
- Bolts and screws needed for the assembly.
- Detailed step-by-step instructions, usually in the form of a manual. For many people, this is the most important part of self assembly conservatories.

Self assembly conservatories are excellent options for people who always wanted patio rooms for their homes but never knew how to proceed with the same. Now, thanks to these DIY self assembly conservatories, building sunrooms have become very, very accessible indeed.
