The Importance Of Water Restoration
If water damage has hit your place of business or home you need to take action immediately. Your items are very important to you and they will be important to save for the company who you hire for water restoration.
There are several ways you may have had water damage. One way is storm damage. Another way water damage can occur is wind blown rain, or massive flooding, etc.
No matter how water damage has occurred in your business or home you need to find a company as soon as possible. Why is it so important to find someone so quick?
If you let water stay stagnant for too long it will become even more contaminated. Water is defined in three categories. Category one is clean water. Clean water is the safest water damage that has occurred. Humans cannot be harmed by clean water. But clean water must be taken care of because after twenty four hours it becomes a category two or three level of water.
Category two water is water that has urine and other contaminants in it. This water can cause illness or discomfort in a human. It is imperative that you call a professional company for water restoration ...
... in these circumstances for safety.
Category three water is very hazardous. This water is called black water. Black water contains feces and other harmful items in it. A person can die or become severely ill from black water. This category of water should definitely be handled by a professionally trained cleaning company for safety measures.
Also, it just is not safe to have water sitting around. Many accidents could occur. Not to mention all of your items, walls, floors, ceilings, etc., will get more and more damaged.
All water has to be handled properly to protect your items and home or place of work building. You do not want to have problems down the road if everything was not handled properly for water restoration. For instance, if water restoration is not performed properly you may have mold, mildew and/or bacteria problems in the future. Mold causes respiratory problems and/or mild to severe allergies in otherwise perfectly healthy people. People with current allergies may become even more affected by mold.
Be sure to choose a company that does water restoration that will work with your insurance company. Your best bet is to find someone professional, experienced, with a reasonable price. Also, take photographs as soon as possible for your insurance claims. Or you can hire someone to do it for you.
