Islam is one of the most followed religions in the world. The followers of Islam are spread all across the world. Unlike other religions the Islam clothing is inspired by their customs and traditions. Islamic clothing reflects their beliefs and morals. These outfits are modest in their appearance. Though they are quite simple yet attractive.
These are made of cotton and best appropriate for hot and humid climate. This clothing is very famous in Asian and Middle East countries. The garments worn are very loose and ensure that they do not outline any part of the body. They are usually dark in colour so that the actual colour of the body is not revealed. Wearing shiny and flashy clothes is prohibited in Islam. Everybody has to follow the guidelines of how to dress, as a form of worship.
Islamic clothing is the core element in protecting the moral standard of the society. The Islamic clothing is designed to protect the privacy of men and women by giving them a dress that is honorable. The rules of modesty do not just apply to women only but men are also expected to display it through their clothing. Men are ...
... commanded to not to look at women and to limit their desires. They should guard their humility from everything prohibited.
The Islamic men clothes are designed to cover the complete body of Muslim man. They are required to wear long and loose top that extends down below the knees. This long gown is known as thoub. This is the identity of a Muslim man. Thoub comes in different styles and colours. Sometimes thoub is covered with Bisht. Bisht also known as Aba is an overcoat. It is usually worn on special occasions like weddings and formal gatherings. It is made of cotton blend. The length of bisht is same as that of thoub. Wearing of bisht depends upon the culture and climatic conditions. In Islamic clothing men also cover their head as a respect to Allah. The covering of the head is called kufi. There are various styles of kufi. In countries where there is extremely hot weather men cover their kufi with gutra. The gutra acts as a barrier to heat. The gurta is held at its place with the help of igal. It is used to secure gutra. Igal is made of black goat and sheep hair woven together. Men also wear izaar. Izaar is a lower garment which is wrapped around the waist.
