Perhaps it wasn’t that long ago you found yourself in an open house and thought, “wow, this place is amazing, I can really see my family living here!” If that was the case then the model home did its job and sold its self. A home becomes wanted because, they’re wonderfully decorated, but more importantly they act like blank palettes that buyers can envision themselves living and creating a family there.

#2 Make the space attractive and beautiful to all: When decorating use common beautiful colors, nothing too intense or overwhelming. Fuchsia Pink or bright green might not be a good idea! If you’ve been holding off, this is the time to crack open some neutral paint colors and cover up all those paint colors you can’t believe you once liked.

#3 It is vital to remove personal items like family portraits and pictures to depersonalize the space for the buyer. The last thing you want is for the potential buyer to see a picture of your family in the hose they are trying to envision them selves living there.

#4 Lighting! A dark gloomy space probably wont sell as fast as a bright beautiful space. Make sure all lights are on and blinds are rolled up to reveal natural sunlight (if at all possible).

The fact is homes that are staged tend to sell a lot faster then ones that aren’t. It’s simple really, the goal in selling your house fast is how quickly can you get a potential buyer to envision living in your house more so then the house next door. That’s because as long as potential buyers can see themselves living in your house you are one step closer in closing the sell. Staged houses also seem to see for a higher selling price!
