Rounding Fraction
Rounding means coming up with the nearest whole number approximation of the fraction. Rounding numbers is an important skill for estimating values.
For example, if the fraction is 9/10, it is closer to 1 than to 0. Therefore, we round the fraction up to 1
MIXED FRACTION AND IMPROPER FRACTION
Mixed Fraction
A mixed fraction is a whole number and a fraction combined into one "mixed" number.
Example: 1½ (one and a half) is a mixed fraction.
IMPROPER FRACTION
An improper fraction is a fraction where the numerator (the top number) is greater than or equal to the denominator (the bottom number). In other words, it is top-heavy.
Example: 5/3 (five thirds) and 9/8 (nine eighths) are improper fractions
Rules for Rounding Numbers
If the number you are rounding is followed by 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, round the number up.
Example: 38 rounded to the nearest ten is 40
If the number you are rounding is followed by 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4, round the number down.
Example: 33 rounded to the nearest ten is 30.

... Whole Numbers
All the numbers to the right of the place you are rounding to become zeros. Here are some more examples:
34 rounded to the nearest ten is 30
6,809 rounded to the nearest hundred is 6,800
1,951 rounded to the nearest thousand is 2,000
Rounding Fractions
Rounding fractions works exactly the same way as rounding whole numbers. The only difference is that instead of rounding to tens, hundreds, thousands, and so on, you round to tenths, hundredths, thousandths, and so on.
STEPS OF ROUNDING FRACTIONS
First, convert the given fraction into decimal number.
Example: 13/5 =2.6
Then, round this decimal number the same way as rounding the whole number.
Example : 7.8199 rounded to the nearest tenth is 7.8
1.0621 rounded to the nearest hundredth is 1.06
3.8792 rounded to the nearest thousandth is 3.879
Fractions are defined as the part of an object that means one and half, three by fourth like that at earliest days. Nowadays the fractions consist of numerator and denominator. For example the fraction (4)/(5) . Here 4 is the numerator and 5 is the denominator. We can add, subtract, multiple and
divide the fractions with certain procedure. Here we see how u minus the fraction from fraction.

Steps for fraction minus fraction:
Step 1: Get the denominator of the fractions are the same.
Step 2: Minus the numerator of the fraction when the denominators of the fractions are same.
Step 3: after minus the numerator of the fraction, if possible the fraction can simplify. These are the procedure to minus fraction from fraction.
Example Problems – Fraction Minus Fraction:
Example 1:
How will u minus these fraction (3)/(4) and (2)/(4) ?
Solution:
Step 1: Check the denominator of the two fractions is same.
Here the denominators of the fraction are same.
Step 2: Minus the numerator of the two fractions.
(3 - 2)/(4) = (1)/(4)
Step 3: Simplify is not possible.
Answer: (3)/(4) - (2)/(4) = (1)/(4).
Example 2:
How u minus these fraction(2)/(8) and (6)/(2) ?
Solution:
Step 1: Make the denominator of the two fractions is same.
Take both the denominator to multiply each fraction and simplify the fraction, we get
(4)/(16) and (48)/(16)
Step 2: Now the denominator of the two fractions are same. Now add the numerator of the two fractions, we get
(4 - 48)/(16) = (-44)/(16)
Step 3: Simplify the fractions.
(-44)/(16) = (-11)/(4)
Answer: (2)/(8) - (6)/(2) = (-11)/(4)
These are the example problems of fraction minus fraction. Let do the practice problem of fraction minus fraction.
Practice Problems – How do u fraction minus fraction:
1. Minus these fractions (10)/(2) , (4)/(2) and (5)/(2)
Answer: (10)/(2) - (4)/(2) - (5)/(2) = (1)/(2)
