All citizens may join Medicare parts A and B when they turn 65, or are suffering from certain disabilities, are entitled to join Medicare. Part A covers or assists with any hospital care as an in patient, It may also assist with the costs associated with stays in a nursing home or a hospice and even health care at home. Part B offers assistance with the cost of health care services such as Doctors bills, Outpatient care , medical devices and home care. It may also cover prophylaxis and preventative treatments.

Approximately 50 million citizens are covered under Medicare which covers about half the actual costs of medical care for its members. It is run as a service with the costs of the scheme being spread across society irrespective of risk. This is largely financed by the contributions tax levied on all workers and US residents with the required time period and have paid the required contributions.

But there are parts of healthcare not included in addition to the parts covered. For example prescription drugs are not covered and should one wish for that one has to join Medicare advantage or Part D.

However ...
... there are many advantages to taking out a private insurance known as "medigap" which is designed to cover the difference in medical costs between the Medicare coverage and the actual costs of medical care and which has a number of categories available specific for an individuals needs.

Firstly for the individual's protection each medigap policy has to comply with the state law so you cannot be sold anything strange and the Category Insurance is specified by letter and each category covers the same benefits.

So just what benefits are covered by Medigap insurance? Medigap Providers is a resource which exists in order to help its clients learn which benefits they need and which type of medigap policy will be best for them. There ias no immediate need to buy a policy as a grace period of 6 months from the date of turning 65 is allowed . Nevertheless 6 months rolls by pretty quickly so best to learn and decide within that period rather than to leave it to the last minute. If the 6 months expires then one may have to undergo medical screening and certain restrictions may be put on your membership..

The insurance companies themselves do however have the right to sell only a certain insurance category other than Part A which is obligatory. All Medicap policies must offer Part A coinsurance. This ensures that the entire cost of hospitalization and the related costs is covered up to a full year after Medicare costs are exhausted.

Part B covers the cost of private health care and hearafter it gets more complex with deductible portions and similar and just what each of these means to you , the individual, is the objective of the website.

Fill out the data sheet and they will present you with a range of possible suitable policies at a hugely reduced cost. They then have consultants on line to answer your questions and ensure you only buy what is appropriate for your needs.
