There is a surge of foreign players in the English Premier League. And with good reasons. Their role in the team is not to bring in a cultural diversity, no. Their presence is the team is strictly for goal scoring purposes. They are gathered from all over the world for astounding bids boost the team’s image. Their presence in the league is highly conspicuous; some of the cocky ones even come with a gimmick of their own. Players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Branislav Ivanovic etc are so popular and influential that they have slowly evolved in to the faces of their respective teams.
