To Live The Life You Love Should Be Our Primary Focus

A lot has been focused on self-development and looking inside ourselves to create the change in our lives that we want. I think a lot has to be said about the focus on introspection and the sense of selfishness it creates. It leads to individuals looking deep within and creates a sense of “me”. Self-reflection can only achieve so much. A complete sense of purpose will be discovered the moment people step outside of “me” and view life from the big picture perspective. Empathy may be the final piece we need to create full social change needed for global happiness. To discover who we truly are it is important to internally reflect, but as you may have experienced that only takes you so far. To achieve the full level of purpose people need to also focus on others.
The root of social change is Empathy. Empathy creates radical social change, social revolution, and positive change. If we focused our efforts on understanding other cultures and countries instead of trying to prove them wrong or criticizing, how different would the world look. If you put some effort into understanding the different types of cultures ...
... and people that you stereotype or criticize on a daily basis, how different would your life look? Empathy leads to a revolution of social relationships a major step toward community, societal, national, and global harmony.
Here is a little experiment that you can try today. When going about your day, consciously try to catch yourself when you are judging or criticizing someone. At this point take a moment to change your perspective. Understand who the person is, what they may be feeling and the things they may be experiencing in their life. After a quick reflection, take a note of how you feel. There is a really good chance you will experience empathy for that person. The empathy will take over the feeling of judgment and a feeling of love for the other will fulfill your senses. Now this may not happen your first time but practice this exercise a few times and take note of each experience. We need to stop labeling and start understanding.
The value of empathy is great for social change but is also very valuable to you as an individual. Stepping outside of YOU and looking at US will expand your universe. You will develop more friendships, gather knowledge and wisdom from unexpected sources, and increase your sense of compassion and gratitude for others. It will not only feel good, it will be good for you.
Empathy is an important to have for you to live the life you love. The knowledge and wisdom you gain from your new empathetic experiences will be valuable for you learn new ways create wealth in your life and develop new healthy habits mentally, physically, and spiritually.
