Eden Hazard To Be Reprimanded For Kicking The Ball Boy

Premier league Football club- Chelsea’s reputation has taken a hit yet again. After a controversy loaded 2012, everyone had their eyes set on a clean sheet for the club starting from 2013. But it has only been the second month and they are already knee deep in bad publicity. Questionable incidents have been plaguing the club for quite some time now and it looks like things are not going to turn around completely for the ‘Blues’ any time soon. It is a tough time for all involved, football players, club authorities and especially the unfortunate soul who happens to be the manager. And currently the one carrying the heavy burden of Chelsea on his shoulders happen to be Rafael Benitez.

The latest controversial issue plaguing the team happens to be the altercation that took place between Chelsea winger- Eden Hazard and a ball boy. The story narrated from a third person perspective goes somewhat like this.

It was supposed to be a cheerful occassio0n. The club had overcome the obstructions and racial slur incidents of its past and had finally managed to reach the finals of the first major European championship ...
... cup. It was at the 78 th minute of the game. With only twelve minutes to go, a frantic Hazard was chasing after the ball when the ball boy- Charlie Morgan, the son of millionaire hotelier and the owner of Morgans Hotel- Martin Morgan, fell atop the ball coving it completely. A frustrated Hazard in an attempt to gain control over the ball, kicked it pushing it to the other side. In the process, he bruised the rib of the boy who failed to get up off the ball. Following the shuffle, Hazard bet Morgan in the dressing room, chatted him up and apologized profusely. The boy later on took to the net and assured the public that he was not going to press any charges. Even though the boy did not sustain any injuries or bruises, three calls from random witnesses of the event, including an off duty policeman, prompted the police to investigate the issue in length.

Though Eden Hazard profile has received support from his fans and team mates who find his actions justifiable, the Football Association has decided to take disciplinary action. Though he will not be charged with criminal markers, he will most probably face a three match ban for coarse conduct. All said and done, the one person milking the situation for all it’s worth is the ball boy who is enjoying his fifteen minutes of fame.
