Football and its American counterpart Soccer is the most popular sports in the world. It has beaten out the likes of cricket and basket ball to get to the particular fan favorite position. According to a survey, football videos (goals and bloopers) are more popular and widely circulated than videos involving any other sport. If football is the forerunner of the games, then by comparison, football players are the most prominent of all athletes. This is not just in theory; in fact it is common knowledge that football players rule the roost. They are more sought after; they are more famous; they are definitely richer in terms of wealth; and they definitely have the most gorgeous partners (I am referring to the wives and girlfriends of football players).
