How To Find Thermal Energy
Introduction to thermal energy:
Thermal Energy can be defined as the energies coming in the form of heat from the sun and earth.
It can also be defined as the kinetic energy of the form of molecular motion which can be measured in terms of temperature.
Thermal energy refers to the heat energy which is created because of the process of thermal energy process.
Thermal energy can also be described as the flow of the energy, or the energy that is moving from one of the system or state to another. As because the energy is moving from one state to another state, a difference in temperature will occur as a result . This difference of temperature is called as the thermal energy.
The example of the thermal energy is, whenever we melt the butter on stove, the butter contains the kinetic energy as the butter is in motion. It also having the latent energy as it is converted from one state of matter to another that is from solid state to liquid state. This combination of both kinetic energy and latent energy as the butter melts in the process is the thermal energy, and can be easily measured ...
... because of the temperature difference between the two states of matter.
How to find thermal energy:
The heat and temperature both are related to the thermal energy as-
Temperature are also defined as average kinetic energy of all the atoms in an object which are used to find thermal energy.
Heat can also defined as the flow of thermal energy from one object of one temperature to an other object of different temperature to find thermal energy which can be measured by the difference of both temperature.
The thermal energy can also produced by the various internal reactions:
The thermal energy of the object can be created by the variuos different chemical and nuclear reactions or by the various electrical effects. The transfer of energies that cause an object internal particles to increase the motion and thus their kinetic energy can be used to find thermal energy.
The chemical reactions to find thermal energy:
The chemical reactions which can cause the different molecules to accelerate and thus it increases the total thermal energy of the object. The burning process is a common form for heat-producing chemical reaction.
The nuclear reactions to find thermal energy:
Nuclear reactions which are the nuclear fission or nuclear fusion by producing the very high-speed particles that is used to increase the thermal energy of the material.
The electrical resistance to find the thermal energy:
The resistance to the different motion of electrons in an electrical circuit that cause the wires molecules to increase their kinetic energy of the motion and thus increasing the thermal energy of the wire.
Various external ways of thermal energy:
Mechanical motion, radiation and thermal conduction are the external sources of energy to find the thermal energy of an object.
The sources of heat which is produced by mechanically are mostly external. When we rubbed the objects together with each other, the friction between them causes molecules to increase their energy, producing the heat and thus can thermal energy can be produced.
The radiation of the light rays falling from the sun on the objects can transfer energy to the object's molecules, causing them to move faster and thus causes the transfer of heat and produce the thermal energy.
The kinetic energy of particles can be increased because of the collisions with faster to the various nearby particles and thus this materials can be heated through conduction heat transfer to produce thermal energy.
