Mangte Chungneijang Mary Kom is known by many nick names such as MC Mary Kom, Magnificent Mary or simply Mary Kom. She is proud Indian citizen, champion of a boxer and a doting mother of two children. Hailing from the tribal community of Manipur, she has fetched a name and earned a place in the unique history of our country. Even though she won the bronze medal at the 2012 Olympic Games, she remains unchanged, forever true to her roots, values, principles and to the people that believed in her. She finally gave India a true icon that all its female kind can look up to.
