Linen is the strongest of all vegetable fabrics, being 2 to 3 times stronger than cotton. It is made from flax plants and has a myriad of benefits. It is lint- free and gets softer when it is washed. It is strong and durable and is resistant to stains and dirt. Because of these features and many more, people from all around the world are opting for this comfortable fabric. Linen is a fabric that can be worn at all seasons.

Linen for summers

Linen clothing is extremely comfortable for people residing places with warm, sultry and humid weather. In fact, most people consider linen to be the ultimate fabric for the summers, because of it's qualities. The fabric is cool and heat absorbent, hence keeping the wearer comfortable during the summers. It is light and allows air to pass through. They also absorb body sweat and lose them quickly, preventing the fabric from sticking to the skin. Often, linen is blended with other natural materials like cotton, jute, silk, etc.

Linen for winters

Besides summers, linen is also great for wearing during the winters because flax fibers act as good insulators. It helps ...
... in retaining the body heat, hence keeping the wearer warm during the winters.

Linen clothes for all occasions

Besides being able to wear it in all seasons, the fabric is also ideal to be worn in every occasion. A linen suit is ideal for wearing the workplace. It has been the staple dress code at the workplace for more than a hundred years. Though it is considered to be a more conservative uniform, modern men prefer adding subtle styling options to add a touch of flair and individuality.

The fashion industry today is taken over by linen because of the nice lean look it provides. People trying to keep in line with the newest fashion are opting for linen.

Caring for linen

Linen is known to have only one disadvantage and that is the fabric tends to get wrinkled after use. That is not something to worry about though. All good things has some bad part. Just ensure that you do not wash the fabric with hard water. If you do so, the piece will start looking old and worn out. You can have the fabric professionally dry cleaned. For best results, follow the manufacturer's instructions for linen care.

After washing, use the hot iron to press the wrinkles out of the fabric. Abstain from using a steamer to remove wrinkles from the clothing.

Because of it's tendency to wrinkle easily, you should pack the linen clothing with care, when traveling. When you arrive at your destination, immediately unpack your luggage and hang the linen clothings. Use a travel iron to press out any wrinkles.
