Somdev Devvarman is very good Tennis player from India. Somdev play style is Right Hand. He won his first tournament in Rochester. In 2009,he was ranked in 202. In 2010, he had placed 96th ranking in ATP under top 100 Tennis players. In same year, he won gold medal in Men's Singles of the 19th common wealth Games event in Delhi. Followed by this, Somdev bagged two gold medals in the both Singles and Doubles at the Asian Games in 2010 in Guangzhou located in China. He had received Arjuna Award from the Indian Government for his national tennis achievement in the year 2013.

Somdev received 3 Single Titles and 2 Doubles Titles in his career history. For Singles he got CL in India F2 Futures, USA F1 Futures in 2008 and Izmir Challenge(H) in 2010. For Doubles he got USA F16 Futures (CL) in 2008 and USA F1 Futures (H) -HUEY in 2007. Somdev won 119 Singles Tennis Tounament and 56 tournament for Doubles. His ATP Rankings in Singles 656 in 2012. Two years back, Prakash won seven series in a continuous row in Chennai Open Tennis series.

He got Davis cup in 2010 for def Brazil tournament. In Australian open 2010,he reached 32nd round in doubles partnered with Prakash. In Austalian Open Tennis, Somdev Devvarman beats Phau of Germany in 6-3 points and he got a chance to move second round of Australian open tennis in 2013. In chennai Open 2013, Somdev and Prakash had reached to second round in Chennai Open Tennis Tournament series. He scored and won the first round over Czech Jan Hajek. Devvarman is the World's No: 6th ranking proud player from India hit this great achievement. At the results of second round in Chennai Open Tomas beats Indian player Somdev with 6-3 points, Marlin won the round2 over Sergiy by 6-3 points, Benoit beat Dudi by 6-1 and finally Roberto beats Matthias from Germany by 6-3. On the doubles series Bhupathi and Bopanna plays against with Daniel. Indian players Vishnu and Sanam had granded for wild card entries in Chennai Open 2013.
