Promotion should not be based on tenure, ethnic background or any other form of classification in the human resource.

The aim of all this is to ensure that you not only hire a diverse workforce but also a qualified one that will ensure that the organization grows to greater heights and prosper. The team should be able to learn and understand the culture of the organization. They should be trained to work with others and form relationships that help understand their fellow colleagues. Diversity management will help staff members embrace the diverse nature of each and every person allowing them to work towards a common goal.

An organization should have in place mechanisms to deal with complaints involving discrimination or favoritism. These are serious allegations that should be handled seriously. Employee thrive well in an environment where they are free to express themselves and are not discriminated due to their back ground, religion, age and gender. The work place should encourage peaceful co-existence. Through regular training on diversity and inclusion employees can know the benefits and the role it can play in the company and their personal lives. During the trainings, it is important to get staff input on the topics to know how better to serve them. Employees also feel valued if their ideas and opinion are listened to and this helps them to work openly and increase productivity and the profits for the company.
