Vw Golf – The Cocoon

VW Golf – The Cocoon
At the Paris Motor Show in September, the Golf VII was introduced. It is an all-new car with evolutionary looks. When it is called "all-new", the claim is made true by using MQB (Modularer Querbaukasten or in English modular transverse matrix), an architecture completely reworked to meet the new requirements. VW engines for Golf are up to 23 per cent more efficient and lighter in weight. Golf looks sharper with creases along the boot, door and all over the bonnet. Styling lines cutting through the head-lamps give a wonderful look.
Although the price for a six speed DSG Gearbox GT 2.0 TDI rises to GBP 24,625, each of new Golf gets more and more happy customers by its awesomely reworked looks and a winning formula based performance. VW Golf VII is offered in two petrol engines, 1.2 and 1.4, and two VW Golf diesel engines, 1.6 and 2.0 turbo-diesel with five-speed or six-speed manuals, or VW's automatic six-speed or seven-speed dual-clutch (DSG) gearboxes to choose from. To ensure the safety of the passengers VW’s engines have ...
... a start / stop function that save fuel and has a new braking system called multi-collision brake system.
Major function of this system is to lower the chances of any secondary impact after a crash by reducing the energy to the engine. A new option is to select a driver mode amongst the four available modes on the touch screen: Eco, Sport, Normal, Individual, and there’s another Comfort mode that is available with the DSG transmission only. Difference between each mode will amuse you where Eco mode is bit sluggish whereas Sport mode keeps the revolutions bit longer which do not feel quite comfortable with the diesel engine. All those new models using MQB have shed weight as compared to their predecessors, at the same time structural rigidity is greater than before.
The new 2.0 TDI with six-speed DSG gearbox weighs around 3024 pounds after losing about 50 pounds. It is now made possible with the new VW Golf diesel engine to get 36 mpg in city and around 50 mpg on the motorway as this engine is nearly 18.5 percent more fuel efficient than before. MQB platform enables the engines to be mounted in a crossway orientation increasing the legroom. The new body contouring passenger seats make it possible to place the seats bit lower as a result there is more headroom for all the passengers. As a whole, this car is one dream machine and the drive feels very comfortable and soothing.
