Corsets Getting Popular In The B-town

It’s Bollywood, anything that a B-Town’s star wears become the in trend thing. Though it is really very hard to say that whether the fashion world is influenced by Bollywood or it’s the other way round. But one thing can be stated without thinking twice that the corset fashion is slowly making its way in the B-town. Yes, the sexy corsets that are better known as Victorian era attires are making a place in wardrobes of the Bollywood actresses.
Corsets are one of the most popular dresses that give an hourglass figure to women. I guess, this makes it clear why the beautiful stars of the Indian Film industry are squeezing into it. There are various well known fashion designers of the contemporary era like Manish Malhotra, Manish Arora and Rocky S, who have designed ravishing corsets in different forms.
The fascinating fact about the corset is that from the time it was tailored for the first time and till the date, corsets have been designed in the most innovative ways. Earlier it was used as an undergarment by women but today, ladies love to flaunt it as top or other ...
... outerwear.
Well, there are various examples, wherein the love of the corset in the B-Town is shown in full swing. Our very own KAT, Oops! I mean Katrina Kaif, one of the leading ladies of the Indian film industry was seen wearing a corset at the premier of her blockbuster film, Rajneeti. Katrina was wearing a silvery-white corset followed by a white gown. There is no second thought to the fact that she was looking bold and beautiful. It wasn’t easy to take eye off her; however, it is always a bit hard to take eye off her.
The next example that I would like to quote here is of our Rockstar! I request you to please don’t mistake it with Ranbir Kapoor because I am talking about Nargis Fakhri. Yes, the model turned actress who made her debut opposite to Ranbir Kapoor in Rockstar. With that I finish the introduction, the main point is that she was spotted in a beaded metal corset at IIFA 2012. Though the actress had no intention of flaunting, so covered it by a royal blue drape, but still people noticed her saree styled corset and appreciated the same.
After mixing the corset with gown and saree, now is the turn of a designer lehenga choli corset. Neha Dhupia, a well known Bollywood star was presenting Manish Malhotra’s Designer Lehnga Choli at an event. She was wearing a beautifully tailored blue velvet corset as choli, which was decorated with sequins. The corset choli was then followed by a magnificently designed blue lehenga that had red and brown patches.
I hope in all these creatively designed corset dresses you noticed Bollywood’s love for corset. This is not it, in fact Veena Malik and Amrita Rao did photo shoot wearing the corsets. Further, Koena Mitra, the Bengali beauty was witnessed in a sexy corset at an event, and I guess the attire will be blessed with this love for a really long period of time.
