In the recent past, real estate has become a booming business and every realtor is fighting to stay a step ahead of the rest. One of the tactics that real estate prudently adapts is the use of online tools such as websites to market their businesses.

However, it is sad to note that majority of real estate websites available today seem to be "reading from the same book". The design, content, layout, approach and sometimes even the listings seem to be all so "familiar' with one another with every review a user may have. This calls for a strategic differentiation and in order to stand out, a website must be unique and cut to the niche that it targets in its market.

The current clientele is smart and the majority is slowly becoming tech savvy. This means that majority of the clients are slowly turning to web based tools to find their products/services, evaluate and compare them and select only the top notch ones. In order to stay at the top of a customer's list of searches, a real estate agent website should at least:

... kind of setup just as they do in any first meeting. The first impression that a visitor has to a real estate website would either stir interest or drive the prospective client away. Bright, theme based layouts that are matched to the sector the seller is in are a great eye and mind catcher for the customer so keeping the real estate website "likable" to the eye is key. Taking time to know what the customers are looking for is the key in getting the design and layout just right.

2. Have unique and original content: Real estate website content can sometimes be limiting and seemingly similar all-round the sector, however, informative and catchy well rounded original content is a great mind catcher when it comes to captivating the target customers. Striving to not only market but also to educate the customer is key in keeping them coming back to your website. Research in the market trends, give tips on best real estate deals, educate customers on how to engage in real estate and you have a following.

3. Market statistics: Statistical data gets everyone highly interested; hence keeping current real estate market data on your website would be a great idea. Stay a notch ahead of competitors by continually researching on the current data and providing it to the customers through your website. Data on the market trends, the current mortgage rates, ongoing policy implementations, national and international real estate trends can keep your target customer ardently engaged in your website and hence drive traffic of prospective customers to your website.

4. Interactive and engaging: Ensure to have a website that is both engaging and a channel through which customers can interact with each other. This may be your online "word of mouth" marketing platform. As the customers interact, they exchange ideas on your business.

Stay on top of the online real estate game by ensuring that your website provides nothing less than the latest, ultramodern design, flexibility and current content.
