Using Emulsifiers When You Don't Want To Swim

Here at E-ZOIL Products, Inc., we understand how important it is for your diesel transportation company to keep you diesel engines in proper working order. Even with proper maintenance, you may not be able to protect your engine from one of diesel’s worst enemies: water. There are times when water is good, such as when you're wanting a relaxing afternoon with the family, when you're trying to grow a field of crops, or when you need something to mix with your scotch. However, your diesel transportation engine is one place where you don't want water to be present, and the one place that water almost always ends up.
Water pollution can occur at any stage of the diesel fuel storage and transportation process. The problem with diesel fuel has its source in the air that gets trapped int the tank during pumping. Once the tank has reached its maximum holding amount, any air in the tank is sealed inside along with the fuel. As the temperature adjusts to its new surroundings, the moisture in the air will condense on the sides of the tank and run down, mixing with the fuel. By the time the fuel reaches your diesel transportation ...
... pumping station, water has been mixed in with the liquid fuel several times. Such condensation can even occur inside the fuel tanks of your trucks. All of this assumes that somewhere along the line, someone hasn't purposefully watered the fuel down to make a larger profit.
However the water got into your fuel source, once that water gets into your diesel transportation engines, you have a major problem. A diesel combustion engine operates by heating the air in the engine pistons, then injecting fuel directly into the piston area so that the hot air can ignite the fuel. When water enters this mix, droplets of water are injected into the pistons along with the fuel. This causes the air in the pistons to cool down, making the ignition process less effective. If the concentration of water becomes too high, the ignition process will cease altogether.
In order to prevent your diesel transportation fleet from swimming the backstroke, you need to take action. Emulsifiers will deal with the water that already exists in your fleet's fuel storage tanks. This easy to use E-ZOIL product simply needs to be dosed out and added to your fuel supply. Emulsifiers can be used at any stage of the fuel usage process. To keep your company's personal supply of diesel fuel from becoming watered down due to condensation, emulsifiers can be added while in storage. Adding emulsifiers during storage will allow your entire fleet's fuel supply to be treated at once. If you have trucks that need individual attention, adding emulsifiers to their fuel supply will deal with water that is already in their systems.
Emulsifiers work by combining with the water in your tank on a molecular level. Once combined, the product dissolves the water into the fuel supply, allowing it to pass through the piston injection system in controlled amounts. After the fuel that it is mixed with is used, the water is safely ejected through the exhaust system of the vehicle. With continued use, emulsifiers will not only clean the water out of your fleet's engines, but it will prevent water build up from sinking your diesel transportation business in the future.
