Diploma course

Regarding the diploma course in IGNOU, the university provides around 45 diploma programs that the students can take up for the current year. They are:

Diploma in dairy technology

Diploma in meat technology

Diploma in nursing administration

Diploma in HIV and family education

Diploma in creative writing in English

Diploma in youth in development work

Diploma in computer integrated manufacturing

Diploma in nautical science

Diploma in tourism studies

Diploma in primary education

These are a few diploma courses available of the 45 courses that you can choose. Apart from these the University plans on introducing Post graduate diploma in disaster management and diploma courses in Japanese, French, Chinese, German and Arabic.

Eligibility and admission

The eligibility for most of the diploma courses is 10+2 or anyone above 20 years. However, the education requirements might change according to the stream you choose. The duration varies from one to 4 years maximum.

The admission process begins in May/June and the last date of submission of application is September for January session and March for the July session. The program fee is around Rs. 2000 or more.
