Sunglasses certainly are the must-have accessory for the summer. Only celebrities have them on all the time, to avoid being recognized by the paparazzi and crazy stalker fans. Sunglasses not only supply the necessary protection for our eyes from the harmful UV-light , but also make us look fashionable. If you are a fan of this trendy accessory, you should definitely know how to safely clean your sunglasses, to make them look like brand new and extend their lifespan.

If your sunglasses are designer ones, you probably have spent a lot of money on them. Of course this isn't the only reason why you must clean and maintain them, but is one worth remembering. According to London cleaners, a proper cleaning will provide an excellent care for your eyes, which is very important. That is why, it's not recommended to buy cheap glasses, with no UV protection. You might save a bunch of money this way, but your eyes will suffer and you don't want to save money and put health at risk. There are polarised sunglasses with the needed protection for a reasonable price, you ...
... just have to find them.

What we can do is give you some useful piece of advice on how to clean your sunglasses, using very simple solutions, and be sure that they will last many years.

Start with the lenses. They are the most important part of our glasses and get dirty very quick. However, no chemical products and rubbing agents should be used for cleaning. You might don't know, a steady breath will work like a cleaning product, followed by wiping with a special lens cloth. Don't even think to use your shirt or something else when cleaning. Rubbing a lens without a slightly wetting can lead to scratches on the surface.

If the dirt is persistent, you can try another easy cleaning method. Put a few drops of dish washing product in warm water and sink your glasses in. London cleaning recommends continuing with spraying window cleaner onto the lenses. Just make sure first, the surface isn't coated with an anti reflection layer, because the window cleaner can damage it further.

Don't forget the nose pads of your sunglasses, because there is a lot of grease, due to everyday sweating. Nose pads are usually made form a dirt resistant material, but the place between them is not. Clean there gently, by soaking into warm water to loose the dirt. With this last step, the safely cleaning of your sunglasses is completed.
