If you are not aware of GRE then allow me to define it for you. It is an examination that is offered by Educational Testing Services (ETS) in order to test whether the students are prepared for the graduate schools or not. However, most of the graduate schools don’t require you to have GRE success in order to get admission at their institutes. But there are some renowned institutes which has made this success mandatory. Below I am shedding some light on the details of this exam and its 800 score.
GRE has 3 segments: Analytical, verbal and math segments. The first and basic thing that GRE concentrates on is to judge whether the students have the same thought process like the examiners; instead of judging the smartness and intelligence of the students. At ETS, the officials set the papers in such a manner that they are unlike from other same types. The papers have a different set of element, when the students will arrive to make out; they will be competent enough to provide more correct answers, even though the student is now aware of the reason why he is right. This will surly reveal on the score sheet.
The ...
... exam is having two separate sections. One will be of computer based and other will be paper exam. The minimum GRE score is of 200. All the students would have to get 800Score and this will give an advantage to the students in getting admissions at some of the finest institutes.
The questions in GRE are adaptive. For the computer adaptive test, the difficulty level of the subsequent question can only be verified by the first question. Let me make it more clearly to you. Let us say that if a student has given a right answer for a particular question then the subsequent question that student will get will be more difficult than the previous one. If the student gives a wrong answer for a particular question, then he/she will get an easier question. Through this method, the 2nd question will be of maximum marks as compared to the 1st question.
Helpful tips
As a student, you have to give importance to every single question. The students have to think intelligently in order to answer the questions; as if a question is left unanswered it will be deemed as wrong. You have to answer each question and make sure that you don’t hastily answer the questions. This will only decrease the scoring pace. But you have to make sure that you know that in GRE when you don’t give any answer that is equal to having a wrong answer.
