There are many employee training courses available at Clydebank College – one of them being the National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH). The NEBOSH General Certificate is the most widely held health and safety qualification in the UK.

Anyone involved in health and safety in the workplace can apply for the NEBOSH General Certificate. This may include managers, supervisors, safety officers or employees with part-time responsibility for health and safety or safety representatives. There are no formal entry requirements for the NEBOSH General Certificate. The course is a night course (18.00-21.00) lasting 30 weeks. The next intake for this particular employee training course is 20th September 2012.
Clydebank College also offers a Fast Track nebosh general certificate. This is an intensive 11 day course (09.00-17.00) ideal for individuals looking to acquire a recognised employee training qualification quickly. This mode of study was introduced ...
... due to popular demand of people wanting to undergo training in a short period of time. Whilst the course is covered in a shorter period of time, the course still covers the core NEBOSH syllabus and key issues in health and safety management. The fast track programme is suitable for all levels of staff from all types of organisations seeking a broad understanding of health and safety issues. There are no entry requirements for the fast track certificate.
Some organisations choose the NEBOSH General Certificate as a key part of their professional development programme, while other organisations may choose it as the appropriate employee training qualification for training staff involved with health and safety in the workplace.
Both courses include Management of Health and Safety, Controlling Workplace Hazards and Health and Safety Practical Application. The NEBOSH General Certificate has been accredited and credit rated by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). It is a SCQF Level 6 qualification gaining 15 SCQF credit points. SCQF Level 6 is comparable to NQF/QCF Level 3 in England, Northern Ireland and Wales.
