A welder is someone who uses special equipment to weld together metal or plastic materials into parts or objects. Welders are also responsible for making sure that welding machines are working properly. Going to college can help you to develop basic and advanced skills that would help you to be a better welder in the future. Having those skills could also help you to land a more advanced position, although getting a welding degree will not guarantee that you will get a job. A welding program will provide you with essential knowledge and hands-on-training that would benefit you were you to become a welder in the near future.

Preparing for a Specialized Certification
