Having a home library is one of the latest trends these days. Some people love the books for themselves, they love to read and grow wiser while some like to show off original collections of classics. People who love to read love to have a separate area in their house dedicated to books and call it a library area. While people who just love to show off their collection of books also like to maintain a library area that's unique and different and serves as style symbol for their home interiors. Let us discuss some ideas to design and decorate a nice home library for all kinds of book lovers- whether the ones who just love books as they are or the ones who collect books to read rarely but as possessions! Read on for some ideas to have an interesting home library…

First and foremost, a home library has to be an area that's peaceful. The area doesn't have to be loud and too bright. It should be an area that's calming and soothing. The area should be such that you feel compelled to spend time there. Choose white colour for the walls of the area. White is a colour that's synonymous of peace and serenity. Colour white is just ...
... amazing as it emanates positivity. It is not just walls that you need to colour in white, affix store fixtures in white against the white walls and see the magic of white. The whole area would look peaceful and organized with white walls, white store fixtures and colourful books stacked in the area.

Also ensure that the area is well ventilated. A library area shouldn't be closed from all sides. It is true that the area shouldn't be noisy and should be a quiet place to relax and rejuvenate, however, that doesn't mean that the area has to be secluded and closed without any natural light or air. A window is a must in the area and a smart thing to do would be to install a compact grade laminate against the window so that you use it as a table and sit on the spot and just enjoy reading in the natural light and air coming from the window.

Make sure that you install two-three laminate countertops in the area to stock the rest of your stationary and use one of your countertops as a station for your laptop. Build different spots in your library area to add drama to the space. Make sure the area has a separate corner for your office work, a corner for reading, a corner for writing etc. Different corners decorated and organized differently will make the area look interesting and dynamic.
