Indian Designer Sarees For Wedding Season
Sari always looks pretty and bears a glamor quotient irrespective of its geographical presence. The traditional attire recreates an aura of glitz and glamor in any wedding or traditional occasions. Creating trends every season, Indian designers borrow inspiration from Bollywood to create vast range of beautiful designer sarees and Indian bridal dresses. While each silhouette is getting a makeover, how can the Indian saree lag behind? And that’s where the creative Bollywood sarees come into the picture. Indian designers and fashion stylist are creating all possible options to make a sari look more grandeur and radiant on reel and real life.
Eminent designers like Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Ritu Kumar, Tarun Tahiliani, Shantanu-Nikhil and Bollywood babies like Vikram Phadnis, Manish Malhotra and Neeta Lulla have added new dimensions to the Indian designer sarees. Elegantly draped pre-stitched sarees and lehenga sarees (lengha-cum-sarees) are some of the innovative Indian bridal dresses ...
... style that have left a strong impact on the fashion runways season after season. Women of younger age group like to experiment and love to drape sarees in new innovative ways. With increasing demand of designer sarees and Indian bridal dresses, the bridal wear market is witnessing vast growth in terms of design, texture and patterns.
The process of draping a sari is also an art which very few women can excel in. More bright colors, more design, more style, these are the keys of today’s designers sarees. Indian designer sarees have refashioned this age old attire by adding new cuts and design to the blouse and pallu. This artistic look has been welcomed warm heartedly not only in India but also in other countries of the world namely Singapore, France, Australia, Canada, UK and the US.
Online shopping has brought back a new aspect to saree shopping. With myriad of experimentation in colors, cuts and style, customers are exposed to a gamut of saree collections. One of the key factors not to be missed while shopping a saree online – fall of the saree; which in turn highly depends on the kind of fabric it is woven in. In reference to Indian weddings, the choice of fabric for designer sarees predominantly chalks down to silk, but with changing trends, Indian designers are seen experimenting with variety of other fabrics like georgettes, chiffons, crepes, tissue and satin.
Maroons, magentas, Indian reds and pinks still rule the palette for wedding sarees; while new color play of pastel shades like peach, baby pinks, carnation pinks, sunflower yellows, marigold yellows and ochre with intricate detailing in form of fall and appliqué pep up the glam quotient. Fashion designers are leaving no stones unturned to make a sari look more majestic and grandeur with an elaborate pallu, an ornamented border and elegant accents adorning the bodice of the attire.
Colorful thread embroidery and metallic thread work enhances the entire look of the Indian designer saree. Finely embroidered resham work, zardozi embroidery in gold and silver wire threads, sparkled with rhinestones, pearls and sequins create traditional motifs like elephant, flowers, paisleys, peacocks and Mughal designs that augment the beauty of the attire. The best way to complete the look is to team it up with a stylishly designed blouse.
Apart from the designer sarees, other Indian bridal dresses which are making it big in the bridal market are embellished lehengas, sari gown and salwar kameez designs.
