Kids’ Rooms’ Decoration Mantra: “stick To The Basics”

Kids will always be kids – playing with toys and then, leaving them scattered all over the floor; fighting with their friends in school and then, eating together during lunch; throwing their school uniform in their rooms and wait for the parents to do the cleaning. Happy childhood days! Well, if you are a parent and thinking to do up your kid’s room, here are the basics that you should stick with:
Cabinets to put in their bags in:
Bring in a new cabinet to your kid’s room and ask you kid (at least, for a week you’ve to ensure that he/she is sticking to this habit) to keep his/her bag and other school stuff inside the cabinet. It’s a simple way to ensure that the room remains tidy for most of the day.
You should also consider applying laminates (such as Abstract Laminates) onto the cabinet surfaces so that it looks fantastic and lasts longer.
Shoe Racks
Let a wooden shoe rack take a bit of a space inside your kid’s room. Ask your kid to put his/her shoes in the rack so that the floor doesn’t look dirty with shoes and socks around.
Colours on ...
... the Walls
Boys like blues and girls like pink. But, this is not a hard and fast rule. Your kid may like yellow or for that matter, a chocolate shade. Let the kid have a say in the room remodeling and chances are he/she’ll show the room to all his/her friends in the neighborhood.
Furniture
Have a strong focus on the room’s bedding, study table and cabinet. Bring in quality stuff and it’ll stay for long.
Laminates such as Oak laminates and Textured Laminates are ideal options to add that extra sheen to the furniture items in the room. And, with a wide range of designs, textures and colours that the laminates offer, you will simply feel like ‘spoilt for choices’.
Last but not the least, remember they are just kids; if you’ll try to control everything, you’ll end-up controlling nothing. Do the best you can do as parents and then, leave the kids with their rooms. Invest in quality beddings, cabinets and other stuffs so that you don’t have to shell out money every other month. Remember to decorate cabinets and other furniture items in the room with laminates such as Abstract laminates.
