The same goes for companies. The best partnerships are going to produce results better than either company would've been able to achieve on their own. Ask yourself whether it's time to find yourself a partner.

But you may wonder exactly why a partner will be so beneficial to you. Well, here's a list of reasons.

Number one: by partnering with another company you can help save costs on advertising and marketing. If both you and your partner get your commercial printing done at the same time you can pool your resources to have more made to save money. Any company with a prominent marketing campaign is going to be spending a decent amount of money on commercial printing already. With a partner you can ensure those costs go down.

Number two: depending on the type of company you join up with, you can help improve your image. You might consider combining with a company in a similar line of work, but not direct competition with you. Let's take the example of Applebees and WeightWatchers pairing up with each other. Various ...

Number three: Many companies have off seasons when they don't do as much business, and therefore don't get as much advertising done. If you find a partner who has an off-season different from your own, you can help boost up your advertising without much additional cost. When they're in their busy season their ads that contain references to your company will help improve your sales.

Likewise, when you're in the middle of your boom and getting the most commercial printing done, you can help promote your partner. This way you ensure that at all times of the year you're able to have a steady stream of advertising getting made to ensure people will always be aware of you.

Things to be aware of though are the potential risks that can come along as well, especially if you partner with a company that doesn't make much sense, or who is doing a lot worse than you. You want to be on about equal footing with whoever you partner up with. If no one knows who your partner is you won't be able to get much benefit from the partnership.

But aside from that one concern, partnerships are a great way for two companies to boost their sales and expand their customer base. Start looking into who would make the best partner for you.
