As parents know, children can be strange creatures. In addition to saying dozens of funny things each day, children also develop funny habits. When these habits are innocent, parents will enjoy the laughter the their children provide them and the humorous stories they have to share with friends. Below are five of the funniest kid habits.

Pulling off clothing

Whether it is pulling up shirts or pulling down pants, children love to pull at clothing. Although this is a habit parents usually prefer their children stop by the time they are school age, many children seem to have a natural dislike for clothes. Little girls in skirts is basically a recipe for disaster as they constantly pull at them. Most children outgrow their habit for clothing removal and learn to live with coverage.

Parroting speech

Although this habit can be very annoying for parents it can also provide dozens of laughs. Young children are especially susceptible to what they hear, leading to lots of imitation. If children have older siblings they especially like to copy their words. This can be very funny when children say big or complex ...
... words and statements that they don't actually understand. Although being mimicked can get old fast, it can also provide lots of laughs, or embarrassment, when company is visiting.

Experimenting with new words

In addition to the tendency to copy, kids love to try to use new words on their own. Statements such as, "Mom, my teddy bear is acting inappropriately," can add a bit of humor to anyone's day. Since kids do not usually understand the meaning or the context of the words they are attempting to use, some very funny things can come out of their mouths.

Imitating animals

Families with pets in particular will find that their children are fascinated by the behaviors of their pets and like to copy these behaviors. If a family has a puppy, they will probably find themselves with a toddler who wants to act like a puppy at some point as well. Barking, meowing, scratching, licking, crawling around on all fours and wanting to eat out of a dish are all traits that kids may pick up from pets.

Having an obsession with babies

When children are able to walk and talk one of the most interesting things to them becomes babies. It can be very amusing to see very young children pointing to other children and saying, "Look a baby!" Little kids seem to have a habit of noticing babies and asking questions about them based on things other people say to them. This will give parents lots of laughs, especially when a child gets a new baby sibling.

Embracing kids funny habits even if they can be a little embarrassing, and learning to laugh with them is an important trait to stress-free parenthood.
