Most people do not go beyond the normal house baby-proofing that just about any family goes through once the child is more mobile. Several parents still put their children in danger in situations outside of the house whether they actually realize it or not. Even simple tasks like getting in and outside of the car can be dangerous if using products wrongly, and knowing about the issues helps people change to avoid large mistakes.

Since it takes one to get almost anywhere in this world, car hazards are at the top for hazardous places for children. Child equipment for cars can be an enormous issue since the car itself and other concerns can cause considerable trouble for children by complete accident. The back seat is one of the safest places in a vehicle for a child since powerful airbag systems can hurt a child badly. Children can generally stay in modern hybrid car seats and child carriers, but most parents do not take their kids out of the device before placing them in the car. Most car seats and resting areas are too non-proportional to do this securely. Doing it this way causes lots of bumps and jolts, and sometimes ...
... even an unfortunate drop which means a lot of danger for the child. Simply securing the gear first then placing the child in it is an excellent way to do it correctly.

Public areas are also tough to figure out because they are by nature not designed to be kid proof at all. Keeping tabs on them can be easy by using products like a stroller or merely holding their hand. Most strollers cannot be used all the time, like in a grocery store. Youngsters are often rowdy and can actually end up falling off of the kid area for most shopping carts. There are easy products designed to fix this problem that one could consider looking into. Most parents must pay attention to their children every second because of their unpredictable nature, but this can be helped a bit by explaining to the child about the dangers of public places and what to do to avoid them.

Public playgrounds or playgrounds for kids also provide a special problem, since improper equipment is not replaceable and tough to prevent kids from getting on. Older metal and wood playground items are excellent things to look for, and typically plastic preschool playground is newer and stronger, and provide a safer playing atmosphere.
