Linen is a very light fabric. Made from the natural fibers of the flax plant, it is one of the most sought after fabrics today. One of the reasons for its popularity is – linen is very comfortable to wear. It is breathable and absorbs perspiration very fast. It also dries up quickly, leaving the wearer refreshed and dry. For hot and humid climates, nothing can be better than a linen outfit.

However, for men, dressing casually is not an option at the workplace. They have to be in formal attire and dress up in formal clothing of suits and trousers at all times, irrespective of the climate. In that case, nothing can be better than the linen suits.

Official clothing and those reserved for formal wear have to be maintained properly. One just cannot go around looking sloppy. Linen looks crisp and smart on any individual. ... new age linen suits look all the more fascinating.

It goes without saying that linen suits for men have to be properly maintained as well. They have to be washed separately if needed and have to be ironed while still damp for best results. Suits are generally thicker than normal clothing- like shirts- so they need not be starched. Those who really have shortage of time can opt for the new age crease free linen. They are especially made not to crease. After washing them, if they are hung out to dry properly, they look as good as new.

It is essential that you read the instructions on the labels properly before washing. If there are any specific instructions regarding bleaching, then do follow them rather than doing the contrary, just because you bleach your other linen clothing. Linen suits can be quite expensive, but investing in a few good pieces can last you for quite a number of summers.

If you were worried about the impending summer and your formal clothing at this time of the year, stock up on the linen suits now. That is one of the best ways to stay cool and yet remain formal looking in your workplace and elsewhere.
