Based in Tampa, Florida -- the Buccaneers is a professional football team which was established in 1976 under the American football conference West division, from 1977 to 2001 the Buccaneers were part of the national football conference Central division and from 2002 until today they have been part of NFC South division.

The Buccaneers are better recognized the "Bucs" by their fans, the head coach is John Gruden, the general manager is Bruce Allen and the current owner is Malcolm Glazer. The Buccaneers just like many others started out as expansion teams.

Championships and Important Moments:

The team has won six division championships and one Super Bowl, a 1979, 1981 and 1999 they were the national football conference Central division champions; in 2002, 2005 and 2007 they were the NFC South division champions. When it comes to Super Bowls they recently participated in one and came out victorious, during this season they faced the Oakland Raiders at the Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego and were able to overcome this team by a score of 48 to 21, the individual leaders within the Buccaneers during the game ...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Recent News:

As of June 11, 2008 -- news came out regarding Jake Plummer will have to repay the Buccaneers a significant sum which is derived from the signing bonuses of a series of contracts he signed with Denver before being traded to Tampa Bay 2007, this conflict was scheduled to be solved at the use of an arbitrator but the parties reached a mutual agreement on Tuesday 11, 2008. Doing a bit of a recap, Plummer announced his retirement right after the trade and did not report list for the 2007 season however, his rights remain with the Buccaneers in 2008 and the team will still own those rights activist sites come back to the playing field.

The 2008 season will be very interesting as we get more news and developments regarding this case and the overall condition of the team, if you are a fan of the Buccaneers it is recommended that you get your tickets before they're gone as this season promises to be very exciting.
