Based in Charlotte, North Carolina -- the Panthers is a professional football team established quite recently (1995), it started out as an expansion team which played for the national football conference West division from 1995 to 2001 (just like the Jaguars), from 2002 until today it has embarked of the national football conference South division.

The current owner of the team is called Jerry Richardson whose alma mater is Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina which is also training camp of the Panthers. They used two stadiums as their home fields: in 1995 they used at Memorial Stadium and ever since 1996 they have been using the Bank of America Stadium which is also known as the Ericsson Stadium.
