Based in Nashville, Tennessee -- the Titans is a professional football team which was established in the 1960s under the American football league Eastern division where it played until 1969. The team was previously known as the Houston Oilers but it was an bought and moved to Nashville, this action gave way to the institution of the Houston Texans which joined the NFL as an expansion team. From 1970 to 2001 the team played under the American football conference Central division, and recently (2002 until today) the team has played for the AFC South division.

The Tennessee Titans have won two league championships, one conference championship and 8 division championships in total, in 1960 they went up against the Los Angeles Chargers at the Jeppesen Stadium and are able to beat them by a score of 24 to 16, the very next year (1961) they take on the San Diego Chargers at the Balboa Stadium and came out victorious after achieving a score of 10-3.

They were able to win the American football conference 1999 and the American football league Eastern division in 1960, 1961, 1962, ...
... and finally 1967. The Titans are also able to win the AFC Central division championships in 1991, 1993 and 2000; and last but not least they won the AFC southern division championship in 2002.

In June 6, 2008 -- the Tennessee Titans headed out to the Greer Stadium (home of the Sounds) to join forces with country music stars and celebrities in order to promote and support cancer research, they also participated in the 18th annual City of Hope celebrity softball game. Some of the country music stars attended this event were: Storme Warren, Danielle Peck, Phil Vasaar, Carrie Underwood and many others.
