Converting The Coveted Gift Basket To A Halloween Theme

At many times during the course of the year, you will find gift baskets being given. These baskets are filled to the brim with goodies, and usually incorporate a theme. For instance, you might give a Christmas cookie basket or a coffee lovers gift basket. They can be a great idea for the person who has everything or the person that you don't know a whole lot about. And for Halloween, a gift basket can be a great way to remember your child's teachers. Often, teachers get stuck with a lot of Halloween preparation, including parties and costume assistance, and get little, if any recognition. Or, you dress your kids up in their costumes and take Halloween gift baskets to the elderly at your local nursing home. Many of these residents will not have family come and visit them for Halloween, and they are sure to enjoy seeing your little ghouls and goblins.
Making Halloween gift baskets
If you do not have a lot of time, you can probably order Halloween gift baskets from local vendors. Just make sure that you order yours far enough ahead of time to guarantee delivery by Halloween. However, an even better idea is to make ...
... your own gift baskets - all you need is some spare time and creativity.
To do this, start by visiting your favorite Halloween supplier to pick out a basket. You might be able to find one that is already in Halloween theme, if not, you can get a plain basket and jazz it up for Halloween with the assistance of Halloween ribbon and decorations. Your gift basket doesn't even have to be in a basket - you could use a cute trick-or-treat container, Halloween tin, or even a decorative box.
Next, you have to decide what you want to put into it. If you have time, consider baking up some delicious Halloween cookies or brownies. Or, you can fill your gift basket with Halloween candy and other goodies. If you are looking for something different, consider doing other Halloween treats - you can include non food items like toys, stickers, pencils stuffed animals, and more depending on who you are creating the gift basket for. Your local discount store or retailer is sure to have plenty of Halloween-themed merchandise available in October.
Who to give them to
The nice thing about Halloween gift baskets is that you can give them to nearly anyone. Take them as a thank you gift to your next Halloween party. Send one to grandma and grandpa from the kids - or to the kids from grandma and grandpa. Use them as party favors for the Halloween party that you host. Or, use them to thank people in community - teachers, bus drivers, police officers, librarians, etc. Nearly everyone will appreciate such a thoughtful gift!
