Disadvantages Of A 4-wheeler Mobility Scooter
‘HELP’ is one such term which can be used to explain two categories, namely need and necessity. Some individuals would need the help of many others to accomplish their task or to find something. But for many others, like the disabled and old aged individuals ‘help’ becomes a necessity, as, they would not be able to do anything on their own. Virtual assistance to accomplish even basic chores would demand for help, when it comes to the disabled.
Disability can occur to anyone. There are can be hundreds to reasons to for one to get accustomed to disability. Well, in certain cases the individual can get back on their feet and resume back to normal living. But it is rare, at least in the initial few months. Disability and old age can weaken the capability of the bones and muscles, to function perfectly like before. Shoulders and leg bones may lose ability to deliver their best, restricting free movement. And, this is when these individuals would demand for assistance. In a sovereign state like UK, time is precious, and it is beyond understanding if one commits to stay beside the disabled individual 24/7. It is understood, ...
... that one cannot spend most part of their day running behind the disabled or the old aged individual of the family, instead a human assistant would be appointed until the needy individual recovers. These disabled or the old aged individuals would take either few months or years to recover, but all that they would have in their mind is, to become independent again. This is when Mobility Scooters come into the picture.
Independence is the need of every mind and heart, especially of every disabled and old aged individual. Mobility Scooters bestow this independence in them, by offering them free movement, not just indoors, even outdoors. There were series of Disabled Scooters developed, and with time it was modified, to suit the requirements of the needy individuals. The transformation from 3-wheeler Mobility Scooter to 4-wheeler Disability Scooter did not take much time. The disadvantages noticed in a 3-wheeler Mobility Scooter was identified and rightfully rectified to offer great assistance to the needy. Well, the structuring of 4-wheeler Disability Scooters did not add more value; instead many more issues developed with respect to restricted leg space and increased length of the vehicle. These two factors gave rise to bad posture, poor turning circle, poor weight distribution and restricted maneuverability. On the whole, the designing of four-wheeler Mobility Scooter proved disadvantageous to the disabled, which was further recognized and corrected.
