Treat Sensitive Skin With Natural Jojoba Oil
Increasing numbers of people are suffering from sensitive skin. This phenomenon has been linked to many environmental and chemical irritants; enhanced levels of environmental pollution, harsh chemicals in skin products and extreme practises such as micro-dermabrasion have all been linked to the growing number of sensitive skin sufferers. Skin products containing artificial fragrances, colours and other toxins are the most damaging products to use on sensitive skin and repeated use of products containing these ingredients can lead to allergies which further sensitise already irritated skin.
However, there are many products available that can calm and soothe sensitive skin, healing existing damage while balancing the lack of natural oils in the skin. Even with sensitive skin, it is important to cleanse daily to remove toxins and impurities. Always use lukewarm water, rather than hot and use a cleanser rich in an essential oil such as Jojoba. Jojoba oil contains properties which are most similar to the skin’s natural oils. As long as only cold-pressed Jojoba products are used, sensitive skin can be gently cleansed without ...

Often, sensitive skin requires more hydration than other problem skin types so it is vital that an effective floral water or light moisturiser is used after cleansing. Again, products containing Jojoba oil are particularly effective moisturisers as they can help maintain the elasticity of sensitive skin and provide external protection from bacteria. Equally, products containing Lavender oil can produce great results. Lavender heals damaged, sensitive skin cells while promoting the growth of new skin cells, resulting in a long term remedy for sensitive skin. dry skin
