Dissertation methodology chapter is the most difficult chapter of all. This is the reason why the student must be fully aware of the dissertation writing structure and the key elements that contribute to the success of a thesis. Many students do not know the main elements and constituents of this section and end up making unforgivable blunders.

This section is basically written to justify the choice of research method you have made, an explanation of the method and how you have employed its tools in your research and writing. The reader must get the idea that you know what you have written and you are sure. Also demonstrate that you are aware of the numerous opportunities for collecting and analyzing data.

Therefore, if you want your research writing to be perfect, consider the following very important points:

1.You must be aware of all the research methods and the tools and techniques each one involves. This will let the reader know that you have knowledge regarding investigation procedures ...
... and you have made the right choice for your research work.

2.You cannot use all the procedures to collect the information that will compose your dissertation. You will have to select any one procedure. From the beginning of your investigation, make notes of all the little and big steps. You will have to mention all the steps here in this chapter.

3.The most important point of all, you must be sure that the method that you have selected for the research on your topic is related to your research field. You have to make sure that your assignment is effective and efficient of the method that you have employed.

Qualitative and quantitative research methods:

There are two basic types of research methods. These are qualitative and quantitative. It depends on your environment and your subject which research method you will apply. In qualitative methodology, you study the characteristics of the subject. The conclusion of this type of data is normally based on numerical data and statistics.

On the other hand, qualitative methodology deals with the tools of collective interviews, debates and discussions, graphs, and different types of tables to produce the composition on the research question. The conclusion of this type of data is basically based on graphs and what the public has to say.

Both the types of dissertation methodologies are different from each other and are equally important in different areas of research. Sometimes both of the forms are applied together, and sometimes individually.

Efficient amount of data can found and collected using these two methodologies, given that you understand each one properly and you know how and where to apply them.

Readers are curious to know where you got your hands on this information. To provide references and sources of information, therefore, is very necessary. This is the main purpose of writing this chapter, so that the reader can have valid proof of the argument in the thesis.
