Mr. Dependable, Rahul Dravid turns 39 on Wednesday. He is the oldest player in the Test Team of India but even at this age, one sees no trace of his age affecting his batting form. He is still fully fit to run, field, hook and pull any deliveries. Dravid has been a silent performer of Team India, who lets his bat do the talking. He has always been there when the team needed him the most.

He always stood like a fortress for his team when others have fallen like a pack of cards. In fact, this earned him the title The Wall of Indian cricket. Through his sheer dedication and hard work on the field, he has emerged out from the shadow of Sachin Tendulkar and established himself as one of the finest batsman in the cricketing world. His achievements in Test and One-day cricket say everything about him.

Dravid is the first and only batsman to score a century in all ten Test playing nations. With more than 200 catches, he currently holds the world record for the most number of catches in Test cricket. He is the second highest run getter in Test Cricket, only next to Sachin Tendulkar.

Dravid doesn't have much cricketing ...
... time left for him. At the most, he can play for a year or so. To find a replacement for him is the real menace for Team India.

Born on January 11, 1973, he belongs to the sun sign Capricorn. Being a Capricorn, Dravid is one of the most stable and most serious of the players. He has shown confidence, strong will and a calm behavior during his excellent tenure. He is known for his hardworking qualities which makes him a true Capricorn. He is very practical, responsible, persevering, cautious to the extreme, ambitious and disciplined.

His ruling number is 2 and this number is governed by the Moon and those born under it are highly imaginative, idealistic and possess a dreamy nature. He possesses a cool attitude and he prefers to tackle every difficult and tense situation with a cool head.

Year 2012 will be a busy time for Dravid as new projects, personal relationships and existing work - all demand time and attention from him. 2012 will prove to be a turning point in his life if he grabs opportunities that come his way, especially in the month of March. March, July and October will be significant months for him.
