Diabetes is a disease caused by either the body’s inability to control the level of sugar in your blood.
This usually happens because of the body’s inability of producing insulin secreted by the pancreas or it’s incapability to make use of the insulin produced. In Type 1 the body’s immune system attacks the cells in pancreas producing insulin, where as the Type 2 diabetes has stronger genetic links. Though Type 1 is diagnosed in the earlier stages, Type 2 diabetes may go unnoticed for years.
Common symptoms of both types of diabetes are: fatigue, un explained weight loss, excessive thirst, excessive urination and excessive eating, slower healing of wounds, blurry vision and changes in moods.
As per the 2011 statistics, about 346 million people suffer from diabetes, and 80percent of deaths occur in low or middle income countries.
Noble hospital being one of the best centers for Diabetic care in Pune is a not only a center for excellent treatment, but also a place for education for people suffering from diabetes.
