Critical analysis is a very important chapter of a thesis. Its format differs from university to university and basically depends on the subject under discussion.

It can be of various types. It depends on for what you are writing the analysis. It is a very important constituent of Masters Dissertation.

Generally, when we write a critical analysis, our purpose is to analyze the already published stuff on the topic. We read everything and then basically summarize it in our chapter. We make classifications, comparisons, and then make our own conclusions and recommendations.

Writing the introduction:

You must begin with introducing the topic. Introduce the research question to the audience so that before proceeding they have a general idea about the whole context.

Put forward the reasons behind the researchers decision of taking up this topic for investigation. Explain the method by which they analyzed the entire research and organized the context.

Writing the body:

When writing the body of the essay, you will have to take every researcher is point of view individually and then discuss it in your writing. You do not have to be very detailed, just give brief description of the motivations behind the investigation and the methods of reaching to conclusions.

The reader requires strong sentences at the beginning of every paragraph. This strategy makes reading more interesting for him. And it is also suggested that you provide the reader with brief summary sentences and comparisons so that the reader does not get lost and confused.

Writing the conclusion:

Offer to summarize the main conclusions of the researchers of the articles and studies that you have taken up.
During your research and entire study, if you found any flaws or gaps, mention them in the conclusion of the chapter. Offer your suggestions on how the research could have been made better.
