There are certain fittings, especially plumbing equipments which are an integral part of every home. They are synonymous with kitchens and bathrooms.

A sink is one such item. Sinks also called basin or wash basin which are typically installed in kitchens and bathrooms. A sink is accompanied by a faucet and a drainage system.

These essential fittings are available in an array of materials. Some of them are mentioned below.

1. Stainless steel is one of the most popular options. A stainless steel sink is durable, affordable and corrosion resistant.

2. Ceramic is the next preferred choice. It is available in many colors and patterns. These are easy to clean and maintain.

3. Enamel wash basins look elegant but these are susceptible to chipping and other forms of damage.

4. Marble is yet another option. Although they are not easy to maintain and requires great care while installing, it still finds many buyers.
