Neuro Linguistic Programming, commonly known as NLP, goes a long way to describe what it means.
Based on behaviorist principles by the co-founders John Grinder and Richard Bandler in 1976, NLP was based on different fields such as central nervous system, linguistics, psychotherapy, education and artificial intelligence. The term 'Neuro-Linguistic Programming' according to Wikipedia refers to a “stated connection between the neurological processes ("Neuro"), language ("linguistic") and behavioral patterns that have been learned through experience ("programming") and can be organized to achieve specific goals in life.”
Whilst NLP incorporates a large amount of hypnosis, it has widely undergone a change since it was founded by Grinder and Bandler.
