Why to choose upholstered bed headboard ?
upholstered bed headboard is used in various styles and designs today, more then ever before.
These upholstered bed headboard are used in different design and in different fabrics and textures. They are not only became a headboard for your bed, but also a focal point of the room. Now days, when the bedroom is designed, many people want to accomplish that hotel and spa like look with out breaking a budget. By choosing the right fabric and the right size, you can create a very relaxing and unique look for your bedroom. Unlike your traditional and metal headboards, the custom upholstered headboard is very comfortable, soft to touch, come in different colors and fabrics.

Another reason to get a upholstered head board, that it is a lot less expensive then getting a hardwood headboard, or even replacing the bed at all. You can make your won headboard yourself by following the DIY instructions, or you can have it custom made. The fabric headboard will work as a design piece with any and all wood furniture you have. You may still need to match the fabric color and texture ...
... to whatever style you have in your bedroom.
The padded headboard can coordinate with your linens, bedding and window treatments.

So if you are planning a make over in your bedroom, all you need to change the main part of the bedroom that is the bed. And everything else in the room will look different, once you change
the headboard.
The upholstered headboard can be matched to your existing furniture that is also upholstered.
Tuft the front of the headboard, for example, and use buttons as an accent. You can pleat the fabric vertically for shirred effect. The headboard can be shaped to echo and architectural detail in your bedroom, such as arched window. Or if you prefer the old Hollywood look, you can quilt both the headboard and the bed spread to achieve this look.

Still not sure what kind of headboard you want? Here are a few tips.
1. If your existing bed frame has a detachable headboard, you can replace it with an upholstered headboard for a new look without a new bed.
2. Backrest. A headboard provides back support as you sit up in bed reading, working or waiting for breakfast in bed. Make it comfortable. The headboard should be high enough so that the top doesn't hit you in the middle of your back.
3. Old is new. Use a salvaged fireplace mantel and surround as a whimsical headboard for a twin bed. Secure the mantel to the wall with screws so it won't topple down on a sleepy head.

And last, but not least, the headboard can be used and incorporated in to design to serve more then one purpose. It can be mounted with detachable nightstands, it can have some shelving for books and accessories, and you can install the light into the headboard for reading and extra lighting.
The possibilities are endless, just use your imagination!
