When you choose to purchase a Hebrew course or program you really have only 2 options; either you choose an Online Hebrew course or a home study Hebrew learning software program, both options are fine and will take you from beginners to advanced proficiency but the experience is very different depending on which path you choose. In this post I am going to talk about the advantages of learning Hebrew through an Online Hebrew course this is not intended as a comparison over Hebrew home study software and I will talk in a later post about the advantages of Hebrew language software, as I said both options are fine and I don't believe that there is a wrong a right method, it comes down to how you want to learn and which approach suits you best, when I was learning Hebrew I decided to go for the Hebrew software option as this was the best approach for me giving the time I had available and this method also suits me best for the way I learn and retain information.

... you will need to be organized and committed, most online courses are 3 months to an academic year in length and you will need to attend classes at scheduled times. Online Hebrew courses are more expensive than buying a home study program but you have a-lot more resources available, such as 1-1 lessons and feedback from a native Hebrew speaker, however you should not be put off the price if you were to pay for private lessons with a Hebrew teacher it would be considerably more expensive and in my experience no where near as good

An Online Hebrew course will suit you best if you like the idea of learning in a structured, classroom based environment, most people learn best with this approach because it is how you have been taught all your life, School, Collage etc. You will need to be committed and attend your scheduled online classes, missing these classes is just a a waste of your hard earned money. If you want to learn Hebrew to an advanced level then an online Hebrew course will certainly allow you to reach your goal in the quickest amount of time and in the most natural way
