There are some chicken coop plans that can be availed on the internet and most of them are high-priced. A few of the plans involve a skill level that cannot be met by the regular home owner who want to raise chickens as a passion.

There is an idea given to those who want to raise chicken with a working chicken coop but doesn't want to spend so much. Think about your old dog home that is lying and gathering dust in your storage room.

Take out the old dog home and clean it up. If need be, paint it to give it a more updated look. If you do not have chicken wires, go and buy some. There are chicken wires made of wire while there also those made of pvc or plastic. The pvc are less expensive and they are available in sheets or rolls. Purchase sufficient wires so you can surround not just the dog dwelling but also the sides of the rectangular coop. Get a new sheet so you can also cover the top side of the coop so the chickens would be enclosed within.

Get hold of six or eight plastic pegs measuring about two or 3 ft in height, the number should rely on how long the coop is going to be. Get the pvc pipes ...
... in order to hold the top portion of the coop. By means of a T connector, connect the pvc pipes such as the pegs together. Manually assemble the coop then place the dog quarters inside.

When assembling, make certain the coop is placed under a shady tree, or somewhere that is not excessively hot. This coop can be easily transferred from one location to another after the area had been carefully used by the chickens enjoying their fun on the ground.

There are lots of chicken coop plans on the internet to follow and depending on the carpentry skill level of the house owner, these can be effortlessly taken. There are also plenty of plans accessible in farmer's and agricultural magazines as well as free plans printed on brochures of chicken feed suppliers. There is really no need to pull out the wallet and spend for these plans as most of them are for free. You can also find chicken coop kits that can be ordered, shipped and assembled so your chickens can start enjoying their new coop.
